Stolair had its beginnings in 1941 when the Founder was born. His love of flying materialised in 1957 when he joined Adelaide University Squadron of the Royal Australian Air Force. While at University his greatest love was Organic Chemistry and, over the following decades, he was able to combine both fields by gaining his Commercial Pilot Licence, Air Charter Licence and Doctorates in Organic and Environmental Chemistry.
Dr Raymont has spent most of his life in Research and Teaching while, at the same time, pursuing his greatest love, flying, through the instrument of Stolair Air Charter Services which enjoyed contracts with the Plague Locust Commission, Whalewatch, NSW Department of National Parks and Wildlife and the SA Government. The Research activities, since the late Seventies, has concentrated upon Human Health and Complementary Medicines with two Patents being awarded for Therapeutic Compositions.
The first Patent, Number 702894, "The Synergistically Balanced Microdose of Vitamins, Minerals and Herbal Antioxidants" was awarded in 1999 with a 1995 start date. This Patent was applied to the very successful product "OxiChel" marketed by Pharmalliance Pty Ltd from 1996 to 2006.
The second Patent, Number 746930, "Herbal Activation of Diosgenin from the Dioscorea villosa to produce DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) in vivo" was awarded in 2002 with a 1998 start date. This Patent was applied to the successful products "Emmugen" and "Mennugen" marketed by Pharmalliance from 1998 to 2006.
With the hostile takeover of the company Pharmalliance Pty Ltd in August 2005 by the majority Shareholders (who appointed themselves as Directors) and their almost certainly illegal closure of the Company in early 2006, these much sought-after health products disappeared from the market.
Stolair and Dr Raymont are now comitted to providing Research Consultancy to the Industry and have secured contracts to assist reputable Australian Companies in their formulations of Complementary Medicines, Veterinary Medicines and Nutritional Foods and their related Regulatory Affairs with the Therapeutic Goods Administration, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority and Food Standards Australia New Zealand.
In addition to this, Dr Raymont often travels on behalf of Stolair's Clients to present informative and educational lectures on the Clients' products, whether his own formulations or those of his Clients.
